Want to reach users who abandoned checkout? In most tools that means opening a filter builder: pick an event, set a comparator, set a threshold, pick another event, chain it with AND or OR, set a time window. One segment, half a dozen decisions.
None of that is hard exactly. It's just slow, and it assumes you already know the exact field names, and it's the reason segments quietly go stale: nobody wants to rebuild the filter every time the question changes.
Why we built User Groups
We wanted the input to be the question itself. Type "users who visited checkout but never purchased", and that's the whole interface. No field names, no comparators to remember.
Under the hood, AI reads that sentence once and turns it into a small set of structured conditions. From then on, matching users is just SQL against your real event data. That's what keeps it cheap and fast: the AI runs once per group, not once per page load.
